Located on private property somewhere south of Killington… this shelter cannot be found on any map, nor is it listed in any GMC publication. The only way to find it is to know where to look in the Vermont backcountry.

I’m interested in hiking out to see this secret shelter… how do I find it?
Hi Heather, unfortunately I don’t have directions to this shelter. It’s on private property, so even if I did, I’d be uncomfortable posting directions on the internet. It may not even exist anymore. Your best bet is to check the registers in Governor Clement and Clarendon Shelters – it’s off the trail between them.
Thank you!!!!
