Hello Jamie– I love your site the phenomenal amount of Outdoor experience you have had. I especially like your photo sitting in front of Chris McCandless’s bus.
I am an 81-year old currently at work on a four-volume autobiography which is centered around my 28-year section hike of the AT with post-polio scoliosis. Vol 1 has already been published digitally on KDP.
> For Volume 4, which I am now at work on, I would like permission to reproduce your photo of the Melvin Nauheim shelter in VT. It is a grubby as I remember it when I did that section in 2ooo. Your photo will be on an interior page, and my volume will not have much circulation. I am also looking for a picture of the Minerva Hinchey shelter. Would appreciate your help. I will give you full credit as you specify.

Does anyone know if there is reliable water at Melville Nauheim shelter, just north of Rt. 9 near Bennington and on the Glastonbury loop?
Hi Dave, unfortunately I don’t have my GMC resources at hand, but the vast majority of shelters are near reliable water and I’d bet that this one is no exception.
