the view east from Trailview Overlook

On the evening of January 31st, 2010, I drove out west along the Hermit Road to take some photos at sunset. It was my first time driving on the road (As opposed to taking the bus), and I was surprised at how much shorter the road seemed to be in a car.

First stop was Trailview Overlook, with a nice view of Bright Angel Gorge above and the village, below.

Cheops Pyramid sees some nice light.

I spent the rest of the evening at Mohave Point.
