Bryce Canyon – Fairyland Trail / Mossy Cave
the view from Sunrise Point
After spending the morning on the Peek-a-Boo loop trail in Bryce Canyon National Park, James, Mike, and myself had lunch at the one and only restaurant in the park. They had an all-you-can-eat burrito bar, and Mike and I put a solid dent in it, to say the least.
In the afternoon we chose to check out the Fairland Trail, an 8.3 mile loop in the northern section of the park. Since we were short on time and energy, we hiked only a portion of this trail from Sunrise Point to the Tower Bridge rock formation, before going on to the 0.8 mile Mossy Cave Trail in the evening.
I took a lot of pictures of the trees at Bryce – they often had unique features and appearances.

some more cool lookin’ trees

I don’t know what causes the trees to look like this, but it sure is cool.
There was a short spur trail to Tower Bridge.
…and there’s the “Tower Bridge.” After nearly a full day in Bryce, this formation, to me, was relatively indistinguishable from all the other beautiful rocks.
After the short jaunt on the Fairyland Trail, we stopped at the park’s general store for a few supplies before hiking the Mossy Cave Trail, and driving back home to the Grand Canyon. I liked the little chalkboard-artistry here that one of the employees had created.
