On the evening of June 5th, James and I took a drive to explore outside the east boundary of the park, past Desert View. There are a number of roadside gift shops out this way, on Navajo land.

At one of these, we stopped and took a stroll to a viewpoint of the Little Colorado River Gorge. It’s a tributary of the Grand Canyon, but surely a “grand” canyon in it’s own right.
