On January 2, 2010, I took a walk down the Bright Angel Trail. My intention was to explore a route that contours west along the foot of the Coconino Sandstone from a place near the lower tunnel. This supposedly leads to the site of the old Lower Orphan Mine.

I aborted the trip because there was still too much snow along the route, but came out with a few cool photos.
