Jamie,
I have followed your "career" in the Canyon and have enjoyed the time I have spent exploring with
you, if only vicariously. Your photographs have steadily gotten very good. Thanks for the photos and the trip descriptions. They are enjoyable reading, not like the ones that start out, "Got up at 7:15. Had cereal and cheese. Packed up..."
Have you ever been down Jicarilla Point and into Slate to the Tonto or the River?
Cheers, WayneC

Really enjoyed the pictures, I am going on a 6 day Deer Creek/Thunder River in late April and I can't wait.
No, you did not find the way down into "Deer Creek" narrows. It's not a slippery downclimb...it's dry, and it is on the East side of the narrows. Most people use handline...

We enjoy your trip reports, makes us feel nearer to the Canyon as we can only make one visit each year - Cheers
I'm planning my first trip to the grand canyon this year and started researching. Thank you for sharing. If you were going to the canyon for the first time and wanted to see the most spectacular sites....where would you go?
just signing in so you'll know that I was here.
Hi Jamie,
really enjoyed reading about your AT hike. What are you doing now? I have 2 sons that are starting to rumble about doing the AT. They spent last summer as whitewater river guides at the NOC. We hiked a bit of the trail when we went to visit them.

Hi Jamie , Thanks for going to the trouble of posting the great photos . I have made nine hikes with my brother in the Grand Canyon and also do a lot of photography . It is enjoyable for me to see someone elses perspective . You have a good eye for composition . Thanks again ! Larry R. Quinn / Indiana .
As others have said, your pics are fantastic. I soloed the Hermit BA loop in 05 and the Boucher BA in 08. Have you any hints about GC photography. Was the weather cloudy when you were there or how did you avoid the "washed out in the distance" look? Yours shots are truly outstanding!
Really enjoyed your pictures of Hermit trail-
Bright Angel loop. My wife and I did this a few years ago in May. We had several days and stayed two nights Hermit campground, a night at Monument, one at Granite, again at Monument, one at salt creek , one at bright angel and then out. We had monument to ourselves one night and salt creek to ourselves. Thanks for the pictures, they brought back some good memories.
