Grand Circle Road Trip

Monument Valley

A popular vacation is to fly to Las Vegas, rent a car, and go see the sights of the Southwest. There are so many interesting places to visit in Northern Arizona and Southern Utah that the area has adopted the term of “The Grand Circle.” There are limitless variations to the route, but they all generally form a loop east of Las Vegas.

In November of 2008, after living and working at The Grand Canyon South Rim for 5 months, my brother Steve flew to Vegas so we could do this trip together before I returned home to Pennsylvania for the winter. Our route included The Hoover Dam, Route 66, Sedona, Grand Canyon, Monument Valley, Moab, Arches National Park, Bryce Canyon, and Zion.
