Northern Arizona received a record-setting series of snowstorms over the course of a week in January 2010. Flagstaff recorded four and a half feet of snow, and the South Rim of The Grand Canyon received a similar amount.
There was one day during the week that all roads in and out of Grand Canyon National Park were closed, including Route 180 and Route 64 south of the park and east of the park toward Desert View and Cameron. Large sections of Interstate 40 were also closed.
Living at the South Rim, I of course had the opportunity to walk around and take some photos.
