On December 4th, 2009 I went on a day hike down the Bright Angel Trail and west on the Tonto Trail to go explore Horn Creek. The timing was just perfect to see the Autumn colors at Indian Garden!

I took so much time admiring the scenery and shooting photos that the remaining hours to explore Horn Creek that afternoon were cut quite short.

I ventured up the slope to the east above Indian Garden to discover these meadows find a different perspective, as well as the old rim to rim telephone line, barely in the center of the above photo.

Don’t miss the rest of this day as I explore Horn Creek Canyon and return toward the yellow Cottonwoods of Indian Garden at sunset.
