On this morning, we hiked east from Grapevine Creek on the Tonto Trail, back toward the Grandview Trail and the rim.

I’d never done the spur off the west side of Horseshoe Mesa in an UPHILL direction.
It’s steep!

This old fence and apparent gate at the rim of the mesa was interesting. An old mule barricade, maybe?
