first look at Ruby Canyon

Here in Ruby Canyon I found some pockets of water upstream of the Tonto crossing. They even had a slight trickle to them, though the puddles were crawling with tadpoles. It looked as though some other mammals had been utilizing the water as well…

I drank as much as I could stomach, and topped off my two-gallon capacity to get me through the night… and on to the next water source, wherever it may be… hopefully in Turquoise Canyon tomorrow afternoon.
